Essie Tropical Lights Summer 2016 collection swatches and review

Essie Tropical Lights Summer 2016 collection has been called "retro" and "old school" by swatchers but to me, this whole collection is a mess of frosts.

I was around and polishing my (and other people's) nails in the 80s' and 90s'. I've had and worn my share of frosts and I'm ready for them to stay in that era. I see no need for a "great frost comeback". I don't like the challenging application nor the finished look.

To some, it looks retro and cool but to me, it looks dated and generally unflattering.

Swatches of the The Essie Tropical Lights Summer 2016 collection are here.

My personal opinion aside, I showed the swatches to my (much younger) employees at the salon, asking their opinion on whether or not our clients might enjoy these and got a resounding no, so we skipped this collection entirely.

I hope you enjoyed my Essie Tropical Lights Summer 2016 collection swatches and review and I'll talk to you soon!
